Our hallway is not your average hallway. Our hallway consists of 3 large halls and the thought of renovating it was a little overwhelming as it was kind of like renovating 3 rooms.
I was a little disappointed that it had taken us a year to finish, but then when I calculated that it included repairing a rotten skylight, along with painting many doors (there are a total of 15 in the whole area), I didn't feel so bad.
When we first bought the house, the hallway was wallpapered with blue wallpaper, which Symon immediately tore down (much to my dismay).
The lovely unpapered walls feature in some of our son & daughter-in-law's wedding photos...
Having the hall finished makes such a massive difference as it feels like the finished rooms are now connected to the whole house.

This section of hallway has a repurposed piece of art done by the amazing Chelsea Mae (see here) and on the other side a series of some of our favourite photos from throughout the generations.

This area had A LOT OF WORK for my poor husband to do. There was a majorly rotten skylight that needed to be removed and repaired. It's come up pretty amazing!

Back Hallway:
The final hallway area is where three bedrooms, the main bathroom and laundry connect as well as a lounge. This whole area was built on later, and used to be the back porch of the house.

So thankful this mammoth job is done! We only have two more spaces inside left to go - our second lounge and main bathroom, then it's onto the outside!
We'd love to eventually strip back the carpet and polish the floors one-day. Massive shout out to Symon for doing the main bulk of this work. So thankful for you!!
