With New Zealand in lockdown due to Covid and masks being a requirement to wear when out in public, I thought it was high time I had a go at making some myself with the leftover fabric I had at home.
I'm not the most confident at sewing, apart from soft toys and a few totes, I've never made much else.
When I came across this easy and free pattern for making masks online I decided to give it a go!
I found some elastic for sale at my local supermarket, and dug through my fabric container.
I found this pattern very easy to follow (although I did make a few mistakes along the way) and love having my own set of masks for the family!
Side note, the length for the elastic was a bit tight with the thicker elastic I used, so add a couple more centimeters if needed.
Enjoy!
