As we shift to Level 2 today as a Nation, certain freedoms are returning while some restrictions still remain.

During the last 7 weeks of lockdown we have celebrated a wedding, wedding anniversary, 16th birthday, 21st birthday, Mother's Day, Anzac Day and Easter to name a few. We have run church from our home (the effort gone into that by many has been massive), friends have had babies, birthdays, made big sacrifices and struggled to quickly change and adapt to this new way of life.

One thing I've learned during lockdown is not to focus on what we can't do but what we can do. I've also learned to respond to things with love, hope and faith rather than fear.

I'm proud of so many people - parents (especially single parents), grandparents, business owners, leaders and pastors, teachers, essential workers, kids doing school from home and so many others.

Choosing to walk into today, leaning into belief, wanting to love my community well and live this through this unforgettable season with great hope for our future.
