The last couple of months have been filled to the brim with family and celebrations. Of course in this space the highlights reel is usually shown, but I don't want to forget these moments!
Life has been crazy, full, hard, fun, exhausting and amazing all at once. So thankful for this precious family we get to do life with...
Symon & I had a working road trip to Auckland recently, and made sure there was time for a quick stop at a few of our favourite places...
Our school put on the most amazing production recently that two of our children took part in. It was stunning, and I was so proud of all the kids that took part in the show!
Our eldest son's fiancé Monique did some of the makeup too (is was so good!!)...
We love our staff. So sad to recently farewell one of our team (Nina), but glad she's still around and so looking forward to meeting this new bubba later this year!!
I made dumplings recently for the very first time - and they were so yum!! This time we made pork dumplings... they did take some time (we were feeding 7 people!) but it was so worth it! Keen to try chicken dumplings next time!
Laser tag and bowling to celebrate Jasher turning 20!
Cake to celebrate Symon turning 45... thankfully he didn't burn his nostrils too much when he decided to blow out his candles with them...
We also celebrated my mum's birthday, her mum's (my Nana's) birthday and my mum in law's birthday- the big 80!
There has been an awful lot of eating going on these past couple of months... from functions to weddings to birthdays to special meals out. We've been so spoiled!!
Symon's brother and his son were over from Australia visiting recently, so it was the perfect time for a family catchup and some photos...
Plenty of cats...
We got to catch up with these amazing people (the McLean family from Auckland) while Claire was up to speak to our youth at our church. They are amazing - and it's so funny that Claire has been a long time follower of this blog before we ever met, back when blogging was cool and hip...
The youth event was a "glow" theme, so I naturally just had to go and get involved. So awesome!!
So thankful for life - when you step back and foster a thankful heart, you notice the gold in the midst of the chaos, pain and stress. Life is good!
