On our recent hospital adventure with my son, there was quite a bit of waiting time before, during and after surgery - the perfect opportunity for crochet!  

I love making beanies, and my most favourite beanie pattern is the Pretty Puffs Slouchy Hat (it's free!), one that I can modify to have slouchy or normal fit, or with or without the puffs.

Yay for crochet, free beanie patterns and warm hats for winter!
