We have a new addition to our family... it's not a baby or another pet (although before long there will be a few new critters around), but a banjo!

Symon has been secretly dreaming of having his own banjo for a while now, and while he was dreaming, he would hijack his daughters pink ukulele to play pretend banjo with.

Thanks to one of his sisters, an awesome opportunity came along and yesterday this lovely thing arrived.

I am loving it!  My Sunday school teacher used to play the banjo, so there are some sweet memories that go with this instrument (hopefully sweet enough to fight the Deliverance theme music that keeps playing in my mind).
