Keep Calm and Carry on.

This slogan and poster has become very popular in recent years, with many spin-offs and some people sick of it altogether...







I noticed the clip below the other day, and thought it was pretty awesome knowing the history behind this somewhat common phrase.

Despite everyone being sick of it by now, I still think it's got a pretty nifty history.

  1. I love these posters! My favourite is eat haggis and ceilidh on! As I'm Scottish and live outside of Scotland this one always makes me think of home, I even have a print of it up in my house!

  2. I LOVE the slogan and everything it means - I have a Keep Calm and Carry On poster on my desk and I also have the Raverly Keep Calm and Crochet on poster.
    Watched this video last week and LOVE it - oh dear we are off to Europe in 7 weeks and WOW if only we had enough time to take Mr 6 to this bookshop - he LOVES trains

  9. I always thought I was missing something with all the "keep calm" stuff. Love the history lesson and it is such a very cool story! I now will feel comfortable buying something with it on! (And maybe even one day from the original bookshop!). And congrats on the 1001 posts :)
