After nearly going insane trying to join up the trillions of tiny granny squares for this, I decided I needed some crochet therapy in the car the other day.
A while ago I spotted some really cute crochet coasters via the lovely Stacey at blogs tea & me and found the original pattern (thanks to her) here. I love them and really enjoyed making them!
Do you remember my saga with Symon's opinions about crochet coasters? Well, I dared to ask him what he thought of my recent creations. As I dangled one of the coasters in front of him while he was driving the car, he said (with carefully chosen words), "I love that you love it."
Ha ha! Now wasn't that nice of him? A very safe answer (one that all men married to craft nerds should learn).
I do love them (and him).

Haha I've learnt not to ask hubby for his opinion, he will chime in when he likes something. They are very cute, Love the yellow!
ReplyDeletethey are soooo divine.
ReplyDeleteI adore that yellow colour right now ...especially when it is mixed with grey.

ReplyDeleteThat color ups the cool factor by 100!
ReplyDeleteYou are making me wish I knew how to crochet!
My hubby is more likely to say something of the lines of "What exactly is it supposed to be?" followed by "Why?". I prefer your husband's approach!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm fairly sure my dearly beloved would call it a doily with all that that entails ...
Swooon, these are delightful!
ReplyDeleteCompletely in love with these!!! So pretty! :)
ReplyDeletePreciosos¡¡ y el color es fascinante¡¡
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is seriously into nerdy war gaming (think; little metal men) and various other nerdy gaming stuff (xbox, ps3 etc.) which I am seriously not interested in at all...
ReplyDeleteWhen I show him the new crafty things I'm making or talk about my blog, and he goes off into "la-la land" (and I catch him doing that... don't always catch him, because sometimes I am so into the retelling!) he reminds me of how I am about his own interests, and yeah I think I do allow my brain to wander when he is talking about it...
haha! Gonna use that line "love that you love it!" :D
BTW. love your coasters!
I heart these coasters. Very chique. I was wondering if they aren't too wobbly to put drinks on. Or are they pretty stable?
ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous! Thanks for the link I want to make some too. Symon's diplomatic answer sounds very much like the evasive answers my partner gives me when I get all excited about crocheting. Last time he commented that I like everything nannaish and that should he be worried about it, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI love'em!!! A little bit of sunshine with a mug of tea or coffee!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteLovely coasters, well done. I commend hubby recognising a "loaded" question! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments... I love hearing from you!!!
