Yeah, you could pretty much say I've gone totally mad, making a cozy for an apple... but aren't they soooo cute!?!
The beautiful Em from duck-egg blue ...and tea cups too got me all inspired last week with her cute wee apple cozy (here). I've been wanting to make one of these for ages but just couldn't find the right pattern (until now).
Wouldn't this be a unique way to store an apple in your bag... or a sweet gift for your child's teacher? Not sure if any of my children's teacher's would appreciate one of these though... especially the male ones.
Apples seem to be the one thing my children leave in their lunch boxes, so I'm tempted to see if making apples 'cute' will do the trick!

Oh my goodness- I love this!!! What a brilliant idea! I always carry apples around with me and they get bruised and mushy- this would be perfect;)

ReplyDeletehaha brilliant!!!! I was talking with workmates yesterday about how our fruit gets bruised when transporting it, this would totally solve it!!! You need to invent a cute banana wrap because they are the worst for instant bruising!!!
ReplyDeleteWell Done PJ :)

ReplyDeleteHaha - very cute!!
ReplyDeleteI was talking to my Grandmother yesterday about how crocheting is totally coming back and she told me a story of her very talented crocheting older sister (now 90-something) who once (back in the day) crocheted two bridesmaid dresses for a friend's wedding!!!
Smiles :)
ReplyDeleteYou know what? This is brilliant and so cute! I always wrap my apple in a paper towel for the ride to work so it doesn't get "dirty"...this would be so fun! haha. Very cool!
