Please keep the Nation of New Zealand in your prayers.  A devastating Earthquake has hit Christchurch, with 65 already confirmed dead and many injured.

We still have not been able to make contact with some of our family living down there, and like many are feeling helpless as we watch the devastation on the news (regular updates here).

Donations can be made here.
Phone 0900 33 200 to make an automatic $20 donation.

Prayer is powerful (James 5:16b).

When I told my boys at breakfast this morning there had been a bad earthquake in New Zealand, my 8 year old asked, 'Is the lady who's blog you read OK?'

  19. Hi Kristy, I saw the news of this disaster. I will certainly be praying for the people it has impacted. My family lost our home in the big earthquake in L.A. in 1994. We Californians have all been touched by loss due to earthquake at one time or another. Very sad; thankfulyy, God will use it for His good purposes, as He promises.

  22. Hey Kristy,

Thank you so much for all of your coverage on Christchurch and how people can help.

I am in christchurch, and a daily reader of your blog. I've just managed to get access to the internet and seeing and reading everything had brought tears to my eyes.

Whats going on down here in peoples hearts and souls really can't be described in words, but to try I am "touched" (and over whelmed, and inspired and thankful, and upset and angry and joyful) by your efforts.

    Thank you.
