Look what I've made... my first proper crochet creation (apart from the 10 granny squares that I don't know what to do with!).
I was planning on making this beanie for Miss 4-soon-to-be-5 but alas, I only have one crochet hook and obviously it is a bit too small... to Miss 2's advantage!
I used a boys skull cap pattern (see here) and found these cute little crochet flowers to pretty it up here.
I think there will be more beanies to come... bring on winter!
Please note: I didn't bother to get my model to chage her outfit to match the hat, so excuse the clashing colours.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the colours you used!!! :D
ReplyDeleteVery cute little hat. Make one for the whole family then take a photo of you all wearing them.
ReplyDeleteSweet beanie! That little angel face is working it, she looks like she is meant for a Pumpkin Patch catalogue!
ReplyDeleteLOVING the beanie... infact have one on my winter essentials list! I must learn to crochet. Hubby's grandma is a pro at it, so might ask her. I just can't follow a book!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone... and GB - youtube is great for those of us who struggle with following a book!
ReplyDeleteHey - I'm glad you were the first to post a comment on my blog about Mandy :) That hat looks amazing - clever you, I am not game (and skilled) enough to try something as hard as that!
ReplyDeleteHey Kristy. Les here. Came back from Alkatraz last night. In one of the cells there was a crochet creation. The audio tour described one of the inmates who knew how to crochet, teaching all these other big tough criminals to crochet. I've got a picture - funny as. Well done on your creation. P.S Say Hi to Syms. And I think the only way you'd get Syms to crochet is to lock him up in Alcatraz!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! did it take very long to do?
ReplyDeleteHey Betty - didn't take long at all... probably a couple of hours with kids interrupting in between.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments... I love hearing from you!!!
