This morning we discovered some new baby chickens under Daisy, our clucky hen. Last time we put eight eggs under her, only 3 hatched (see here), but so far this time there are 6 cute little chickens snuggled underneath her.
Another rather interesting discovering has just been made... Taloola, Mandrake's 'hen' is actually a rooster (the big white guy in the photo below)! We had wondered why it was so big, but since it didn't crow like the other two roosters (Lucky and Kentucky) we just figured it was a hen.
Master 7 reported seeing Taloola jumping on the other hen's heads and bodies a couple of days ago... hmmmmm... wrestling maybe?
I think we need a new name for Taloola...
Any suggestions?
